NOAA AR 11089 produced a C2.2 flare peaking at 04:24 UT on July 26 and a C2.8 flare peaking at 20:42 UT on July 28. NOAA AR 11092 produced a C3.2 flare peaking at 08:26 UT on August 1, this flare was related to a complex Earth-directed halo CME comprising also a large polar crown filament eruption. GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY ------------------- Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled with a few active periods on July 27-28 due to the fast solar wind from a coronal hole. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- DAILY INDICES DATE RC EISN 10CM Ak BKG M X 2010 Jul 26 042 018 84 009 B1.4 0 0 2010 Jul 27 027 010 83 022 B1.4 0 0 2010 Jul 28 043 023 85 014 B1.4 0 0 2010 Jul 29 045 022 85 008 B1.5 0 0 2010 Jul 30 049 019 83 009 B2.0 0 0 2010 Jul 31 026 015 82 007 B1.4 0 0 2010 Aug 01 /// 013 80 006 B1.3 0 0 # RC : Sunspot index (Wolf Number) from Catania Observatory (Italy) # EISN : Estimated International Sunspot Number # 10cm : 10.7 cm radioflux (DRAO, Canada) # Ak : Ak Index Wingst (Germany) # BKG : Background GOES X-ray level (NOAA, USA) # M,X : Number of X-ray flares in M and X class, see below (NOAA, USA) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTICEABLE EVENTS DAY BEGIN MAX END LOC XRAY OP TENCM TYPE Cat NOAA NOTE #--------------------------------------------------------------------# # Solar Influences Data analysis Center - RWC Belgium # # Royal Observatory of Belgium # # Fax : 32 (0) 2 373 0 224 # # Tel.: 32 (0) 2 373 0 491 # # # # For more information, see http://www.sidc.be.
