The most significant solar event was probably a filament eruption that took place close to NOAA AR 1566 on Sept. 13 (around 0600 UT), together with a CME. GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY --------------------- Geomagnetic activity was very low during the week. The only noticeable event took place on Sept. 12, when the Earth entered a mild fast solar wind stream (v~450 km/s). No significant increase of the geomagnetic activity was detected. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- DAILY INDICES DATE RC EISN 10CM Ak BKG M X 2012 Sep 10 091 048 111 004 B4.7 0 0 2012 Sep 11 084 049 105 001 B4.8 0 0 2012 Sep 12 070 047 103 006 B4.1 0 0 2012 Sep 13 077 039 99 006 B3.1 0 0 2012 Sep 14 057 033 101 008 B1.5 0 0 2012 Sep 15 /// 041 98 010 B1.7 0 0 2012 Sep 16 /// 037 97 008 B1.5 0 0 # RC : Sunspot index (Wolf Number) from Catania Observatory (Italy) # EISN : Estimated International Sunspot Number # 10cm : 10.7 cm radioflux (DRAO, Canada) # Ak : Ak Index Wingst (Germany) # BKG : Background GOES X-ray level (NOAA, USA) # M,X : Number of X-ray flares in M and X class, see below (NOAA, USA) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTICEABLE EVENTS DAY BEGIN MAX END LOC XRAY OP TENCM TYPE Cat NOAA NOTE #--------------------------------------------------------------------# # Solar Influences Data analysis Center - RWC Belgium # # Royal Observatory of Belgium # # Fax : 32 (0) 2 373 0 224 # # Tel.: 32 (0) 2 373 0 491 # # # # For more information, see http://www.sidc.be.
