These events are of similar nature but manifest themselves differently depending
on the observational telescope characteristics such as wavelength, noise
level, exposure time, etc. (e.g. the different manifestation of TRACE and SOHO global waves).
Thus, current real-time technique consists of 2 main steps:
- Large scale eruptive event detection on the Sun (can be flare, eruption,
dimming, filament eruption or loop opening). This part is very robust
and can be used on any telescope almost without algorithm modifications.
Such errors such as big missing blocks have to be however eliminated.
- Then, find if this event is accompanied by the blast wave or not. The
recognition technique includes a series of filtering and pattern
extraction steps, and they depend on the telescope technical characteristics.
